Gearbox is an important component widely used in mechanical transmission. When a pair of gears mesh, due to the inevitable errors in pitch and tooth shape, meshing impact will be generated during operation, resulting in noise corresponding to the gear meshing frequency. Friction noise will also occur due to relative sliding between tooth surfaces. Since gears are the basic parts in gearbox transmission, reducing gear noise is very necessary to control gearbox noise. Generally speaking, the main reasons for gear system noise are as follows:
1. Gear design. Improper parameter selection, small overlap, improper or no tooth profile modification, unreasonable gearbox structure, etc. Gear processing. Base pitch error and tooth shape error are too large, tooth side clearance is too large, surface roughness is too large, etc.
2. Gear system and gearbox. Assembly eccentricity, low contact accuracy, poor parallelism of shafts, insufficient stiffness of shafts, bearings, and supports, low rotation accuracy of bearings, and improper clearance, etc.
3. Other aspects Input torque. Fluctuation of load torque, torsional vibration of shaft system, balance of motor and other transmission pairs, etc.
